Thank you for dropping by to check out my new single, Bluebell River

“In the woods the bluebells seem
Like a blue and magic dream,
Blue water, light and air
Flow among them there.”

Eleanor Farjeon

To behold a river of Bluebells during the dawning of an English spring is a thing of profound beauty. When I first set eyes on this floral phenomenon, I was captivated at this delicate expression of nature’s wonder. Having grown up in Australia, a land of rugged and tenacious landscapes, where nature has in many parts, evolved to exist with a scarcity of water and an abundance of harsh relentless sunlight, this pastoral setting was enchanting beyond words.

This visual splendour avails itself around April/May time in the Beech tree woodlands of Southern England and I’ve had the good fortune to walk amidst this uplifting spectacle on many occasions. My new piece is a delicate guitar duet that pays homage to this magical wash of bluey purple, juxtaposed by the vibrant, fresh green of the budding Beech trees after a long winter of silent hibernation.

Thanks so much for listening and for your ongoing support, it’s always deeply appreciated!

Warm wishes, Ian
